The securityNET installation twisted-pair cable is designed for making connections between multimedia signal distribution points and user connection outlets. U/UTP twisted pair cable (unshielded) is an indispensable component for installations in computer networks, telephone systems, CCTV systems, etc., that are not exposed to electromagnetic interference. It features an outer PE sheath that protects it against damage caused by outdoor conditions. The cable meets the requirements of structured cabling standards: ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173, and EIA/TIA 568-C.2.
Application
Gel-filled cables are intended for outdoor applications where elevated humidity or a risk of moisture ingress may occur due to environmental conditions. Conductors made of 100% pure solid copper ensure stable and consistent transmission parameters. The gel filling limits moisture migration inside the cable, protecting the conductors from electrical degradation and supporting the long-term reliability of the installation. The cable design allows for safe installation directly in the ground or in telecommunication ducts.
Category
Category 6, corresponding to Class E, is a structured cabling standard designed for data transmission speeds of up to 1 Gb/s (1000BASE-T). According to the standard, it operates at frequencies up to 250 MHz, ensuring stable data transmission and an appropriate performance margin for network installations.
Category 6 cabling is widely used in LAN, WAN, and IP surveillance systems, enabling connections between devices such as switches, routers, servers, and IP cameras. In accordance with structured cabling principles, the maximum permanent link length should not exceed 90 meters, assuming the use of patch cords up to 5 meters long on both ends of the transmission channel.
Shielding
U/UTP twisted pair is an unshielded cable, both at the overall cable level and for individual wire pairs. Crosstalk and interference reduction rely on precisely engineered pair twisting in accordance with structured cabling standards. The cable design includes a central plastic cross separator, which separates individual wire pairs and helps reduce pair-to-pair crosstalk.
Due to the lack of protection against electromagnetic interference, U/UTP cable requires proper installation route planning. Appropriate separation should be maintained from power cables, other signal paths, and devices generating electromagnetic fields. This cable is intended for installations in low-EMI environments, such as standard office and residential spaces, where proper cable organization is essential.
Sheath
The PE (polyethylene) jacket used in twisted pair cables is primarily intended for outdoor installations. This material offers excellent resistance to moisture, UV radiation, and varying weather conditions, allowing for long-term cable operation outside buildings.
Cables with a PE jacket are stiffer than their PVC or LSZH counterparts; however, they provide superior mechanical and environmental resistance. Due to their flammable properties and lack of low-smoke characteristics, they are not intended for indoor building installations.
CPR class
Euroclass Fca is the lowest fire reaction classification level in the CPR system. Cables in this class do not have confirmed performance parameters regarding flame spread, heat release, or smoke production.
Cables classified as Fca are not approved for permanent building installations covered by CPR regulations. Their use is limited to temporary, outdoor, or other installations that are not subject to building fire safety requirements.
In projects subject to CPR requirements, the use of cables with at least Eca classification is mandatory. The selection of the appropriate Euroclass should be based on project documentation and local fire safety regulations.
PoE
An installation based on the PoE++ standard (IEEE 802.3bt, Type 3) enables simultaneous data transmission and power delivery to end devices using all four wire pairs (4PPoE), with a maximum power output of up to 60 W per port. This solution allows network devices to be powered without the need for a local power source. The maximum transmission channel length is up to 100 meters. A higher cable category provides lower power loss and better operating conditions at elevated temperatures, especially in cable bundles and telecommunications cabinets.
The PoE++ standard is used to power a wide range of active devices, including VoIP phones, Wi-Fi access points (802.11n and 802.11ac), CCTV cameras, including PTZ and heated models, access control systems, alarm devices, video terminals, and information kiosks. This solution is designed for devices with power requirements of up to approximately 51 W while maintaining stable operation across the entire infrastructure.
Color
A color primarily used in technical and outdoor installations. In the case of PE jackets, it provides enhanced UV resistance due to the carbon black content, which reduces material aging during prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Warranty
By choosing securityNET cables, you are investing in solutions designed for long-term and reliable performance in network installations. These products are covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, confirming the quality of the materials used and the control of the production process.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship faults revealed during use in accordance with the intended application and applicable installation standards.
Packaging
Cable supplied on a standard 500 m reel. This packaging format is intended for larger installations, enabling efficient deployment of longer cable runs.
